The building with the tall smokestack was the original Crisp Point Lighthouse fog signal building. In 1965 the Coast Guard demolished the structure. This year the Crisp Point Light Historical Society built a near replica of the structure that will be a visitor’s center. (Lighthouse Digest archives photo.)
