As well as being sand blasted and painted, structural issues that are causing the outer light to have a slight lean will also be addressed. However, the City of St. Joseph will have to do its own repairs to the inner light that also stands on the same pier and will soon be owned by the city under the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act.
