General George Meade addresses the crowd at the 150th Birthday Party of Cape May Lighthouse. He explained his role in supervising the construction of the Cape May Lighthouse when he was in the Army Corp of Engineers. He also supervised the construction of Barnegat and Absecon lighthouses also in New Jersey and a number of lighthouses on the Great Lakes.
