Dancing and playing music of all types seemed to be another favorite activity. Here, Orlo Hayward shows his hula steps while Raymond Bay beats a homemade drum and Howard Hansen sits atop the foghorn “trumpet” playing a violin. There was also reportedly a piano at the lighthouse at one point! To take this photo, Walter Lawrence had to be up on the catwalk of the lighthouse tower as the three keepers are on top of the fog building roof quite a distance below, directly behind the tower.
