Libbey Island Lighthouse is more commonly known as Libby Island Lighthouse, but the letter ‘e’ was often used in its spelling. The lighthouse is located at the entrance to Machias Bay in Machiasport, Maine. Sadly, with the exception of the fog signal building and the tower, nearly all the buildings shown here are no longer standing. The island and lighthouse is now owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
