The Door County Museum’s Maritime Tower project will begin construction in 2017. This artist’s rendering shows the 11-story tower that will be added to the museum front containing exhibition space. The tenth floor will be the observation level offering a 360 degree view of the harbor docks, bridge, Sturgeon Bay area, and Lake Michigan across to Green Bay. A spiral staircase will give a simulated lighthouse experience as visitors climb to the lantern room at the top where the Green Bay Entrance Lighthouse 4th order Fresnel lens will be housed.
