Oswald W. Allik checking the rotating beacon at Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. The original Fresnel lens at the lighthouse was destroyed in a 1935 storm. In 1957 when Oswald W. Allik closed and left Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, he was transferred to Heceta Head Lighthouse near Yachats, Oregon where he served until his retirement and the automation of the lighthouse in 1963.
