The Columbia River Maritime Museum located in Astoria, Oregon, was founded in 1962 and houses an impressive collection of 30,000 objects. The most awe-inspiring exhibit is the Coast Guard Motor Lifeboat, CG-44300, performing a rescue at sea, which is clearly seen through the full-length front windows that span the building.
