The double-tiered rotating aero beacon at Tillamook Rock Lighthouse that replaced the first order Fresnel lens. It was manufactured by J. C. Busch Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At the time that it was installed at Tillamook Rock Lighthouse, the Lighthouse Service stated that this type of lens was “Now in use or proposed for use at Michigan Island Lighthouse in Wisconsin, Indiana Harbor Lighthouse in Indiana, and Washington Harbor Lighthouse in Wisconsin.” (Lighthouse Digest archives photo by lighthouse keeper Lonnie Haynes.)
