The men who were living at Chicago Harbor Lighthouse on July 29, 1939 took time to pose for this historic photo on the last official day of their employment under The U.S. Lighthouse Service. The next day they would all be employees of the United States Coast Guard. Left to right : T.J. Brennan, skilled laborer; Clarence Mason, 3rd assistant keeper; John “Jack” J.
