This image of Wisconsin’s Wind Point Lighthouse shows the twin horns from the Diaphone Fog Signal protruding from the fog signal building. Built in 1880 the 108 foot tall lighthouse originally had a third order Fresnel lens in the tower, which is reportedly on display in the keeper’s house. From 1964 until 2007 the tower had a DCB-24 Aero Beacon, which was then replaced by the weaker Vega light. The lighthouse is now owned by the Village of Wind Point, but the light in the tower is owned and maintained by the United States Coast Guard.
