The family enjoyed their time at Rose Island Lighthouse together as most of Julius’ other duty locations were off-shore caisson stag stations. This 1915 photo shows his wife Clara (left) and daughter Emma sitting on the steps of Rose Island Lighthouse. The only family memories of Julius come from his three years of service here.
