Nellie Johnson (1879-1954) married Adolph Aronson in Rhode Island on June 2, 1900. She served alongside her husband at Rhode Island’s Pomham Rocks Lighthouse for 29 years until he retired in 1937. During that time, they raised three children together. Adolph passed away in 1940 of a heart attack leaving Nellie a widow for the next 14 years until her death in 1954.
