After Ned’s Point Lighthouse was automated in 1923, the keeper’s house was picked up from the site and barged by the scow Eva to the east side of Buzzard’s Bay to become the assistant keeper’s house at the Wing’s Neck Light Station where it stands to this day as a private residence. It is stated that Russell B. Eastman, who, from 1914 to 1923, was the last lighthouse keeper at Ned’s Point Lighthouse, cooked himself breakfast as the keeper’s house floated across the bay to its new location.
