The 1890 Deer Island Lighthouse in Boston Harbor near Winthrop, Massachusetts where John Baxter Jr. was stationed in 1969. During a severe storm on February 19, 1972, three keepers had to be rescued from the lighthouse as it started to tilt. The abandoned lighthouse was finally dismantled on June 14, 1982.
