Cupid needed to be held in chains to keep Thacher Island Lighthouse keeper Asa H. Josselyn from marrying wife number three while he was still married to wife number two. Sadly, it was not far from the truth that Josselyn, arrested for bigamy, is shown on the Thacher Island lighthouse tower crying as all three of his wives left him. (The Boston Post, November 12, 1903)
