The Point Bonita fog signal cannon is shown here on display at the Bureau of Lighthouses exhibit at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition held in San Francisco, California from February 20, 1915 to December 4, 1915. We wonder what happened to the cannon, which was one of the most important artifacts of West Coast lighthouse history after 1915. Was it given to a museum? Was it sold to a private owner? Was it disposed of? Until we learn more, it remains a lighthouse history mystery.
