Purported to have been filmed entirely in Maine, the Out Yonder lighthouse architecture and daymark did not match any known Maine lighthouse, nor even any New England light, for that matter. Besides the missing ventilator ball and lightning rod atop the tower, the exterior shot of the lighthouse shows a strangely-shaped cupola, as well as too much space surrounding the disproportionately small lens inside the large lantern, which normally would be sized for the order of lens that it houses.
