Cherrystone Bar Lighthouse, Virginia as it appeared in 1920, shortly before it was barged to Cape Charles, Virginia for winter storage. The following year it was moved again by barge to become the Choptank River Lighthouse in Maryland. The Choptank River Lighthouse was also known as Benoni Point Lighthouse because it was located off Benoni Point on the Choptank River, Chesapeake Bay, Maryland. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
