Race Rock Lighthouse as it appeared in 1965 when it was staffed by the Coast Guard. Notice that the old fog trumpets were still in place. The noise must have been deafening to the keepers who lived there. The only thing that distracts from this crisp, clear image of what the active light station looked like in its heyday was the television antenna at the top of the tower. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
