South Africa's Cape Agulhas Lighthouse was a real treat for the Lighthouse Depot Tour. This picturesque lighthouse is located at the most southerly point on the African continent. In 1973 it was declared a national monument. Finally in the 1980's the tower and its first order lens were restored and in 1988 it was re-commissioned as not only an operational light-station but also a lighthouse and maritime museum.
