From 1917 to 1920, Ray Dunson was stationed at Willapa Bay Lighthouse near North Cove, Washington. Also known as Shoalwater Bay Lighthouse, the structure no longer stands. It was destroyed by erosion in the 1940s. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
