Visitors with video cameras and kids in hand were able to get spectacular film footage and snapshots from the outer catwalk of the lantern room. Under a lease agreement from the United States Coast Guard, members of the Florida History Center and Museum, the lighthouse is open for the public to climb the tower every Sunday through Wednesday. Admission is $5.00 per person and children must be 48 inches tall to climb the 102 steps to the top.
