During the ceremony Doug Bingham presented American Lighthouse Foundation awards to the three men who were the driving force behind the Minot Keepers Memorial. Bingham explained to the audience that these awards are very rare and seldom given out, with only five of these awards having ever been presented prior to this event. The awards were given to show the American Lighthouse Foundation’s recognition of the dedication these men have played over the past 20 years in helping to save and preserve our nation’s maritime heritage and its vital link to lighthouse history. Here the three took a moment to pose with their awards after the ceremony. Left to right, Kenneth Jason, Capt. Herb Jason, and John Small.
