The Port Washington Breakwater Lighthouse sits atop a large arched concrete base. The walk on the breakwater to the lighthouse can often be dangerous, but many people find their way out there. It is doubtful that any nonprofit will want the lighthouse. Because it is one of the icons of the community, hopefully the community will take ownership of the lighthouse.
