The 1892 Table Bluff Lighthouse in Humboldt, California where Elmer R. Williams was once stationed. After the light was automated in 1953, the Table Bluff Lighthouse keeper’s house was torn down and the lens went to Point Loma Light. The light tower remained in operation until 1972. It was restored and moved to Woodley Island in 1987. It is now at the Woodley Island Marina, part of the Humboldt Bay Harbor Recreation and Conservation District. The original lighthouse site (“Lighthouse Ranch”) is now owned by the Bureau of Land Management. In 2012, the BLM demolished all of the remaining historic buildings at the site.
