Stony Point Lighthouse as it appears today on the grounds of the Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site. Although the tower is not open to the public for climbing, the 4th order lens that was once in the tower is now on display at the on-site museum, as is an exhibit on the history of the lighthouse. The tower was last painted in 2015. The museum is open 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, and 12:00 Noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday. The museum is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, except for these Monday holidays – Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day, when they are open with Sunday hours.  The museum will close for the winter months on Sunday, October 30, 2016.
