This 1937 photograph from an old newspaper story shows (l-r) assistant keeper William Nash, head keeper Henry Bevry, and assistant keeper Julius Lonne operating the fog signal machinery at Wind Point Lighthouse. Before he came to Wind Point Lighthouse in 1910, William Nash had served at the no longer standing Racine Reef Lighthouse. Nash stayed at Wind Point Lighthouse for 28 years until he resigned in 1938. On the other hand, Wind Point Lighthouse is the only lighthouse that Julius Lonne served at. He was an assistant keeper for an amazing 34 years from 1908 to 1942. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
