Photo Caption:

Lighthouse keeper Henry Bevry in the Wind Point Lighthouse boat. Note that the boat was taken to and from the boat house on a small cart on rails, similar to a railway cart. If you look closely, on the front of the boat are the letters U.S.L.H.S., which stand for United States Light House Service, and the number 142, which must have been the boat number. There is also a small brass lighthouse affixed to the bow of the boat. (Courtesy the Bevry family.)
