This is the fog signal building that once housed all the foghorn machinery at Wind Point Lighthouse. Unfortunately, in 1970 the Village of Wind Point, instead of saving the fog signal machinery to show future generations how this important aspect of the light station operated, they removed all the equipment. The machinery was so large and heavy that the Village had to use a bulldozer with a front end loader to dispose of it.
