The historic keeper’s house of the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal Lighthouse; clearly shown here, is the structure that the Coast Guard wants to demolish. In 1984 the light tower was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, but the keeper’s house was not included. The day may come, in the not too distant future, when this building will remain only through photographs.
