Photo Caption:

South Africa's current Cape Point Lighthouse was first lit on March 11, 1919. Being the most powerful lighthouse on the coast of South Africa, it is still a manned station. A fixed red subsidiary light at this station indicates the dangerous areas around the Bellows and Anvil rocks where the liner Lusitania struck on April 18, 1911.
