The spectacular side launching of the James Rankin. Built by Marinette Marine, this Coast Guard vessel was primarily designed to install and maintain navigational aids. Along with protecting the marine environment, the tender is also equipped to respond to search and rescue operations. The ship is designed in such a way that it is capable of maintaining its exact position while battling extreme current and wind.
