Although Edward Rowe Snow normally used an airplane, sometimes he used a helicopter to actually land at a remote island lighthouse as he did here at Boston Light in Massachusetts. This picture was dated December 11, however the year is unknown. The caption said that Snow delivered gifts to three families. For the grown-ups he left books and cigars. For the children he left toys and a vivid impression of Saint Nicholas that many readings of the Night Before Christmas will never wipe away.
