If you look closely through the ice covered windows of the Charlene Gail, you can see Brian Cates by himself in the small skiff which had just dropped off the cameraman and TV reporter Bill Green on Little River Island. At this point a wave washed over the skiff, forcing Brian to bail out the boat by hand in the below zero temperature with wind chills of 30 to 40 below zero. Back to the edition of: April 2004
