The old and the new towers of Michigan Island's Lighthouses, Apostle Islands, Wisconsin. The station was automated in 1943. Its Fresnel Lens was removed from the tower, and is now on display at the National Lakeshore Visitors Center in Bayfield, Wisconsin. Back to the edition of: March 1999
