The Cape Agulhas Lighthouse is shown here all decked out for its 150th birthday. You may recall that in our February 1999 issue of Lighthouse Digest we requested that our readers send Happy Birthday emails to the lighthouse. The lighthouse took the emails from all over the world and put them on a CD-ROM that was put into a time capsule installed in a date stone at the lighthouse honoring the event. At the ceremonies a special thank you was given to Lighthouse Digest for the largest number of emails being received directly from subscribers to Lighthouse Digest.
