Unfortunately the 1867 Greenly Island Lighthouse was destroyed by fire in the 1940’s. A skeleton tower now occupies the site, which is now part of the Bale de Brador Migratory Bird Sanctuary managed by the Canadian Wildlife Service. Back to the edition of: April 2007
