Photo Caption:

Although the artist is unknown, the Myers family is proud of this pen and ink drawing of Loring Myers. Myers spent many years as a captain of a steamer that ran between Boston and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia before taking on the position of assistant lighthouse keeper under Fred Morong at Lubec Channel Light. He eventually became the Head Keeper and has the distinction of holding the longest tenure at lighthouse of any other keeper.
