The view from the bell tower looking back at Perkins Island Lighthouse as it appeared in 1946. After automation the 1,000 fog bell was removed and is now on display at the Georgetown Maine High School. By 2000 the bell tower was in a state of deplorable condition. It was restored thanks volunteer efforts and funding from two funding sources. Volunteers Lighthouse Digest archives photo from the Judi Kearney Collection.
