Photo Caption:

Ile aux Galets Lighthouse, also known as Skillagalee Lighthouse as it appeared from the air during the time that Klaus Andersen was stationed there. Klaus Andersen would often row his children around the island. This is the third lighthouse to have been built on the island. After the station was automated in 1969 the Coast Guard destroyed all the buildings on the island, except the tower, which still stands today. Photograph courtesy of the U.S. Coast Guard.
