Clifton and Shirley Morong at Cape Elizabeth "Two Lights" Lighthouse Station where they were stationed at from January 1946 until April of 1957 when Clifton retired from the Coast Guard. Clifton joined the Coast Guard on January 3, 1935 and served at a number of Maine lighthouses as well as a brief stint at Race Point Lighthouse in Massachusetts. Happy Birthday Shirley! Thanks for sharing your memories. You are a truly one of our lighthouse heroes. Back to the edition of: August 2008
