Wisconsin's Pilot Island Lighthouse Station as it appeared in 1995. The elaborate building in the upper left hand corner of the photo is the Pilot Island Fog Signal Building. When the steam-powered foghorn was used here, it could be heard for 12 miles and was a duplicate of the one that was displayed at the Paris World's Fair.
