Hans Jacob Hanson his wife Anna Lind and daughter Harriett. He served at Wisconsin's Plum Island Lighthouse as the first assistant keeper from 1897 to 1899 and then as head keeper from 1899 to 1905. We wonder how he would feel today about the birds being more important than the lighthouse? Obviously, he and the other lighthouse keepers coexisted in harmony with the wildlife.
