This past June 28th, a dedication ceremony was held at Minnesota’s Split Rock Lighthouse Visitor Center to celebrate the 4,500 square foot addition to the existing 11,000 square foot center that opened in 1986.
“Visitation to Split Rock Lighthouse has continued to grow and our interpretative program has expanded, along with those changes, we needed to expand our services and amenities for the public”, said Lee Radzak, manager for the historic site.
It is expected that over 130,000 people will visit the lighthouse this year.
