The Baker Lighthouse on Buckeye Lake, Ohio. We ...

Lighthouse Digest subscriber Rick Baker of Lancaster, Ohio, loves lighthouses so much that he built one and attached it to his families cabin on Buckeye Lake in central Ohio.

First he spent a winter’s worth of evenings drawing, planning and then building a small model. The following spring he started construction. Except for the foundation, he did all the construction himself.

The completed lighthouse stands 33 feet tall and the bottom floor contains the master bedroom, the second floor is their daughter’s bedroom and the third floor is the lantern room.

Rick’s wife Tammy said what’s really amazing is that Rick is not a carpenter and he does not work for a construction company, he’s a banker!
