Lighthouse Keeper Lawrence Congdon is shown here with his wife Amy and grandson Charles. Congdon served as the keeper of Rhode Island’s Watch Hill Lighthouse from March 1, 1924 until he retired in 1941.
If you have old vintage photographs of lighthouse keepers, family members at a lighthouse memories of lighthouse life, old newspaper stories or old photographs of lighthouses, we would encourage you to share them with us. Duplicate photographs can be made by most photo shops or scanned images can also be made, provided they are of high resolution.
