In the June 2005 issue, on page 14, we published this vintage photograph of a lighthouse that we were having trouble identifying. The lighthouse had an old Packard automobile, from 1920 or 1921, Model 116 Touring Car parked next to it.

Many of our readers were on top of this one with quick responses to identifying the lighthouse as Brockton Point Lighthouse in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Built in 1915 to replace an earlier lighthouse, it is one of the lighthouses serving the Port of Vancouver and is located a short distance from Prospect Point Lighthouse.

Current photograph of the Brockton Point Lighthouse is courtesy of Rudy Mauch of

Lincoln City, OR.
