Saving lighthouses is more than just saving the actual structures. It is also about saving artifacts that are the primary learning tool for teaching lighthouse preservation and history for generations to come.
The recent merger of the American Lighthouse Foundation's Museum of Lighthouse History's collection into the collection of the Maine Lighthouse Museum in Rockland, Maine, will create the largest collection of lighthouse artifacts in the nation.
However, this has been a gigantic undertaking that has created immense financial pressure for both organizations. If the American Lighthouse Foundation and the Maine Lighthouse Museum are to be successful in building educational exhibits and successfully preserving the amazing collection of artifacts for future generation they are going to need your financial help now.
If you believe as I do, that saving lighthouses is more than just bricks and mortar, I personally appeal to you today to send an urgently needed tax deductible donation to the:

Only you can help make a difference by saving yesterday’s history for tomorrow's generations.
