Yes, it’s true, Lighthouse Digest has moved. We have relocated the offices of Lighthouse Digest and Foghorn Publishing to what is known as Downeast Maine.

In these days of modern technology and the Internet, so much of all magazine production is done via computer that the need for a large office environment has diminished. Our editor fell in love with this remote part of Maine while helping to restore and save the Little River Light Station in Cutler. Our new offices are on Cutler Road between East Machias and Cutler, Maine overlooking Holmes Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

During our transition we have been, well, “out of the office” way too much. We know that we might have missed some of your calls and are working feverishly to get back to everyone who has called or emailed us during this time. We thank you for your patience and understanding at such a hectic time for us.

We are also sorry that our office manager and assistant to the editor, Dee Leveille, was unable to make the move with us. We know that many of you spoke to Dee over the years and she was always quick to help out with your lighthouse questions, orders and subscriptions. We will miss her dearly. We certainly wish, as I’m sure you do also, the very best to her in her future endeavors.

Our move will now give you a reason to visit the entire coast of Maine on your next trip to the “The Lighthouse State.” First to stop at Lighthouse Depot in Wells, then on to mid coast Maine and the Maine Lighthouse Museum in Rockland and finally to Downeast Maine and Lighthouse Digest, all while visiting many wonderful lighthouses along the way. Plus, we are only a short distance from Lubec, the home to West Quoddy Lighthouse, the eastern most lighthouse in the United States.
